Maureen Rogers is currently the editor and publisher of
The Bu$iness of Herbs, a trade journal for the herb industry, and The Herbal
Green Pages, a resource guide. These are publications of The Herb Growing and Marketing
Network, an information service for herb businesses and serious hobbyists that started in
1990 and now has over 2000 members. She lectures to groups nationwide on herbs,
aromatherapy, the business of herbs and general accounting and marketing. She is also a
nationally certified massage therapist and certified reflexologist. She
was business
manager for Cramers' Posie Patch, a wholesale dried flower and herb farm, in Lancaster
County, PA, for the ten years. Her latest venture is as Herbalist and Marketing
Manager for HerbNET, an internet information and marketing site for both herbal
enthusiasts and herb businesses. Shes also involved in online marketing with several
non-herbal sites.
Prior to this she was the Executive Director of the
International Herb Growers and Marketers Association for 3 years. She had a retail herb
shop in Dayton, Ohio, for three years and organized an herb study group at a local
historic farm there.
Maureen also holds licenses as a Certified Public
Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant and had her own practice for over 10
years in Dayton, specializing in small business and non-profit management.
